Our 4th graders took a hands-on learning trip to Majestic Meadows Farm in Plymouth! Thanks to the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau and their Classroom on the Farm program, students got an up-close look at Wisconsin’s dairy industry. They also explored topics like animal nutrition, veterinary care, and the crops that help keep our state growing. What a great day of learning outside the classroom! #RLAdvantage #HandsOnLearning

At last night's School Board meeting, we’re proud to recognize four outstanding students participating in the Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program. These students are gaining valuable hands-on experience in their chosen career fields while still continuing their high school education. As we celebrate their success, it’s also a great time to address some common misconceptions about Youth Apprenticeships. According to YA Wisconsin, many people don’t realize: ✅ YA is for all types of students, not just those who don’t plan to attend college. ✅ YA does not replace high school, students still meet graduation requirements while gaining career skills. ✅ YA offers real, paid work experience, not just job shadowing. ✅ YA isn’t limited to manufacturing or trades, career paths include healthcare, IT, agriculture, and more. ✅ YA is a smart option, not a last resort, students graduate with confidence, experience, and a head start. These students are a great example of what’s possible when education and career readiness come together. Join us in applauding their hard work and bright futures!
