Alumni Spotlight: Tyler Kies
Join us in celebrating Random Lake High School graduate Tyler Kies, who has recently joined the Cedarburg Police Department! 🚔
After graduating from RLHS, Tyler has been working towards a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University. He also proudly served 3 years and 4 months in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant with an honorable discharge. 🇺🇸
Tyler will soon begin an 18-week, 720-hour law enforcement academy at Milwaukee Area Technical College as part of his journey in public service.
We are so proud of Tyler’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see all the ways he’ll continue to make an impact. Congratulations, Officer Kies! 👏

Youth Apprenticeship Highlight:
In our final Youth Apprenticeship highlight of the first semester, we would like to highlight Elijah McChain for the hard work he is putting in to balance both his classes at RLHS, and his Youth Apprenticeship experience.
Elijah, a senior, has a career goal of working within the trades. He has found this passion within many of his tech ed courses at Random Lake High School, which has led him to his YA position at Torque Monsters in Random Lake, WI. There, he gets to take apart old car engines and helps the business sell the good parts to machine shops, performance shops, and other retail businesses. When not working or at school, Elijah enjoys hunting & fishing, and will be enlisting the U.S. Army following high school.
A true example of a student finding their passion through Academic and Career Planning, enjoying education within their field, making memories in high school, and getting an #RLAdvantage before they graduate high school due to their hard work and dedication.

Weather Update - TWO HOUR DELAY - Friday, December 20th. There will be a two hour delay for the start of school today, Friday, December 20th. This includes the school bus routes. Please plan accordingly and be safe in your travels!

We’ll reopen with normal hours starting Tuesday, 1/2/25.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR THURSDAY 12/19 CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER! All after school activities are cancelled including all athletic events, practices, rehearsals, and Fitness Center hours. The Rams Care holiday program will take place in the Rams Care building on the south side of campus. Please stay safe!!

This semester, these students earned Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certifications in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook—valuable, industry-recognized credentials from Microsoft.
MOS Certifications equip students with skills that are not only in demand but also set them apart in the job market.

The RLHS NHS students raised an amazing $700 through Miracle Minutes at basketball games and a St. Nick fundraiser! 🎅
With this money, NHS students purchased toys for 26 local kids and teens, using their wish lists to make their Christmas a little brighter. These gifts will be shared with families through the Random Lake Ecumenical Group.
Thank you to everyone who supported these efforts—your generosity helped spread joy in our community! ❤️✨

Youth Apprenticeship Highlight:
Opportunities for EVERY student in ALL interests, while finding ways to show students that education can be enjoyable are the main priorities within our Academic and Career Planning at the School District of Random Lake. This week’s YA Highlight is a true example of students seeking careers that support others.
This week, we would like to highlight Arianna Adair and Tucker Hiller for the hard work they are putting in balancing their classes at RLHS in addition to their Youth Apprenticeship experience.
Arianna, a senior, has a career goal of working as an Event Planner within Hospitality. With her goal set, Arianna has been working with the Plaza Hotel in Milwaukee as a YA assisting with their event planning. Academically, Arianna will earn 5 college credits upon graduation in May. In addition to balancing her courses and YA, Arianna is also a part of the RLHS Concert Choir, she is involved with 4H, and enjoys rodeos in her spare time.
Tucker, a senior, has a career goal of becoming a Math or Science teacher. That said, he is one of 3 Education YA's at the School District of Random Lake, and works specifically with our high school Math department. Academically, Hunter will earn 15 college credits prior to graduation in May. When not in the classroom, or mentoring others within Math, you will find Tucker leading the RLHS ESports State Championship team.
Two examples of students finding a passion through Academic and Career Planning, enjoying education within their field, making memories in extracurricular activities, and getting an #RLAdvantage before they graduate high school due to their hard work and dedication.
